Being Positive Should be Part of Your Life
For a long time, you may have been doing things in a normal routine, and staying positive has been the norm. But for the moment everything changed to circumstances not very encouraging.
Now, what are you gonna do?
Staying positive, facing the new challenges that life presents you, or allowing negative thoughts to dominate your mind.
Here I want to share with you 4 powerful biblical verses that will help you keep a positive mind, in the midst of life’s challenges.
Circumstances should not define your state of mind
An example of this can be seen in the story of actress Halle Berry, this woman overcame adversity and her perseverance led her to success.
Actress Halle Berry was born into an unstructured family in Cleveland, Ohio. Her father was a violent man, who abused her mother for years, and that marked her childhood.
The beginnings are not easy and nobody becomes an actress overnight, so when the young Berry moved to New York in 1989 to try her luck, she spent all her savings before finding a role. Desperate and penniless, the young woman survived thanks to the help and food provided at the homeless and homeless shelter. A few weeks later, she landed her first role in a television series.
Possible despair, or rather, it was her strong desire to move on that drove her to achieve success.
- In Romans 8:28 it says:
“And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to her purpose.”
For Halle Berry, growing up in a family environment of much suffering, led her to strengthen her character, develop her willpower and force her to have a positive mindset.
May this story inspire you today, to persevere in your plans, and not give up until you achieve your goal.
The positive mind does not allow fear to dominate it
Life is full of obstacles, that’s the reality. From the moment a person is born, they face situations that test their determination and the desire to get ahead.
Colonel Sanders is the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), one of the largest fast-food chains in the world. The main achievement of this man is that he began to pursue his dream at age 65.
Upon retirement, he used the amount of his first check, about $ 105, to start the business that would bring him satisfaction and worldwide fame. He knocked on many doors, slept inside his car, and to look formal he always wore his characteristic white suit.
KFC is known around the world today, but its growth began after Sanders got a yes for an answer to develop his secret recipe. Before that, he received 1,009 refusals to start the business.
2. In 2 Timothy 1: 7 it says:
“Because God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power, love, and self-control.”
Colonel Sanders could have taken refuge in fear, after facing 1,009 rejections. But he better decided to face the world with power, share a love for others, and have a character with self-control as a base. And so, he did not allow fear to dominate him.
You can achieve the same result if you put your mind to it. I’m sure.
Recognizing that God is for you is the key
Life was not easy for Walt Disney. In the beginning, he had many failures, yet he never gave up. On one occasion, he was fired from a newspaper, because according to his boss, he had “no imagination and because his ideas were not good.”
He also faced bankruptcy, which literally left him bankrupt. With his dreams and aspirations, he did not give up. Disney never got tired and was always trying new ideas until it was successful.
He won 22 Academy Awards and established the first Disney park in California in 1955. Today Disney is a conglomerate that earns millions of euros annually for its films, theme parks, and merchandise allusive to its characters.
3. In Romans 8:31 reminds us:
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?”
Nothing could stop the success in the life of Walt Disney. And I have no doubt that God was an accomplice in the success of this great man.
Stay positive, God is willing to help you too.
If your thoughts are positive, your actions too
According to what is indicated in the books Mark, Matthew, and Luke, the person who helped Jesus carry the cross was Simon of Cyrene, also known as The Cyrenean.
He accompanied Jesus as he walked with the cross to Golgotha, where he would be crucified.
In the book of Marcos, it is detailed that Simón de Cirene came from the field and was the “father of Alexander and Rufo”.
In the New Testament, no more is revealed about his life. Except that his sons, Rufo and Alejandro, became missionaries.
Cyrene is known to be found in North Africa.
Specialists in the Holy Scriptures, they assure that Simon of Cyrene was an important character in ancient Christianity.
Catholic entities have not canonized the character who helped Jesus carry the cross. But the religious regard him as a saint for having helped the son of God during that process.
4. In Luke 6:45 it says:
“The good man produces good from the good treasure of his heart, and the bad man produces evil from the evil treasure of his heart because his mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart.”
Certainly, it is a living example of how a good man, with a good heart, carried out this great work of good, Jesus Christ the son of God.
May your thoughts always aim to do good to others.
And the results of this will make your life a great story.
Anxiety in a man’s heart overwhelms him, but a good word cheers him up.
I hope these words can help you today, to have joy in your heart, and to be positive.
No matter what…
